Bin Jip is giving a jazz / electronica Concert at Kobuci Kert, one of the hip open air bars in Old Buda (Obuda / District III) in Budapest. Bin Jip is featuring Veronika Harcsa, with hauntingly beautiful voice – currently one of the most talented jazz singers in Hungary (also performing at the upcoming Jewish Summer Festival in 2012). Bin Jip is often summed up by fans as a mixture of Bjork, Massive Attack, Portishead, and Breeakbeat.
We could say that the concert is almost free at HUF 800 (but by now you may have got used to the idea of visiting cool concerts in Budapest bars for almost free, right? OK, we are not talking about the more pricey Sziget Festival here now).
4 excellent musicians are the members of the odd-sounding name Bin-Jip. If it sounds familiar, you may recall the underground Korean film, entitled “Bin-Jip” – a movie loved by the band members. The debut album of Bin Jip, called ‘Enter’, was awarded “Best Alternative Album of the Year” at Fonogram Hungarian Music Awards.
Line up of Bin Jip

Video of Bin Jip: Enter (the main song from their award winning debut album). A really cool black and white video made by Pater Sparrow.
