Klezmer is a very lively – originally wedding dance – fun and beautiful music from Central Eastern Europe: now you can listen to one of the highest quality klezmer music pieces in Budapest, Hungary as performed by Budapest Klezmer Band in an unusual and beautiful location, in the Japanese Garden of Budapest Zoo.
Ferenc Javor (aka ‘Fegya’), the leader of the band has written his own klezmer music based on the musical traditions of the Central European Jewish communities.

Please note, if all the seat tickets are sold out, extra standing room tickets will be available at the entrance of the Zoo on the evening of the klezmer concert. If you like dancing, you may even want to just buy a standing ticket – klezmer makes your feet move instantly. :)
The official opening time for the concert is 7 pm. As the concert itself starts at 8:30 pm, you will have ample time take a nice walk in the historical Zoo, take a look at the century old beautiful Art Deco / Art Nouveau buildings. The entrance fee to the klezmer concert includes entry to the Zoo and the Palmhouse.
If you get hungry, you can enjoy hot and cold foods served in the garden of the Cave Restaurant (Barlang Etterem), and in the Gundel Palmhouse Cafe with its yummy ice-cream selections, cocktails and coffee specialties.
